In grade school, he began making music with his friends in high school.
On a particular day, with help from his younger brother playing “drums” on the table and beatboxing, Sire performed an original song he wrote in front of his friends. The affirmation and excitement that Sire received from his friends that day confirmed he had a talent in music.
In high school, Sire wrote and recorded a few songs for his own personal listening pleasure. When he later matured into a young adult, he realized the power and influence of music. Unable to distance himself from the love of God and the ministry call on his life, Sire began to pursue a deeper relationship with his Lord and Savior… and single Walk With The Lord being released December 2017 is a reflection of a closer walk with His Heavenly Father.
He heard a lot about the horrors of slave markets in Libya, a trade in refugees hoping to travel to the relative safety of Europe but instead being caught in a system that we thought had consigned to the horrific annals of a unenlightened colonial past, which lead to the release of BLACK, at this point in the review I would normally analyse the track from a musical point of view but that seems as if it would be distracting from the songs purpose, like reading a powerful and important book and then discussing the covers artwork. Suffice it to say that the song does everything it needs to via a blend of musicality, soulfulness, compassion and raw, upsetting honesty.

But that is the point, this should upset and unsettle, the lyrics should land hard enough to make you think, and feel, and hopefully empathise. And it works on all levels. Black is a perfect statement and proof that even those outside the political and legislative classes can be an important part of the conversation, a conversation that reminds us that the world is a community and we all need to come together to look after our neighbors. Words are important, songs brilliantly communicative, videos emotive and visually stimulating. MusicBySire proves to be the master of all these mediums.

MusicBySire understands the power of music. Last time we caught up with him he was raising awareness for the oppression of modern slavery with Black, here he has a more universal message. Better Than You is an anthem of faith and of walking your own path, of holding on to your beliefs and ignoring those who would seek to distract you from that journey.

Faith is obviously a very personal thing, but what I love about Better Than You is that it is a celebration of the mysteries of the world but it never preaches, never tries to tell anyone else what to think or believe. Instead this is a pure outburst of love, a celebration of life as seen by one person, how can you not embrace the joy of such an act.

And even if the message isn’t for you, the music certainly will be. How can you not like it… African sunshine pop blended with reggae vibes, sweet and clean limbed grooves, infectious danceability and before you know it you hips are moving, the feet are shuffling, the hands are in the air and you are singing along. That is the power of music…maybe that is the power of faith too, either way it takes a tough skin or a closed ear to not be musically buoyed up by this song.
